Tsungayi Christina Kangere
Community Advocate — Dementia Awareness & Hospitality
Healthcare & Training
“I believe every conversation, every act of kindness, and every shared meal has the power to change someone's life.”
Tsungayi is a compassionate community advocate, live-in care professional, and the founder of meaningful conversations that bring people together. Through her work with the Wellbeing Hub, she is committed to promoting health, wellbeing, inclusion, and stronger community connections.
With extensive experience supporting people living with dementia, Tsungayi has developed a particular passion for dementia awareness, education, and research. She leads community conversations that encourage understanding, reduce stigma, and empower families and carers with practical knowledge. She also creates welcoming spaces where people living with dementia and their loved ones can connect through music, friendship, and shared experiences.
Alongside her work in health and wellbeing, Tsungayi has a love for catering and hospitality. She enjoys bringing people together through beautifully prepared food, believing that sharing a meal is one of the simplest ways to build community, celebrate diversity, and make people feel valued and welcome. Her catering complements many community events, adding warmth and hospitality to every occasion.
Tsungayi is passionate about collaboration and believes lasting change happens when organisations, professionals, volunteers, and local residents work together. Her interests include community engagement, dementia research, health promotion, cultural inclusion, volunteering, and creating opportunities that improve quality of life for people of all ages.
Whether she is organising an awareness event, supporting individuals and families, preparing food for a community gathering, or building partnerships across the voluntary sector, Tsungayi’s goal remains the same: to inspire hope, encourage connection, and help create communities where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.
“I believe every conversation, every act of kindness, and every shared meal has the power to change someone’s life.”
