Our home town

Our Commitment to Warminster

Bringing exceptional experiences to Warminster.

The Wellbeing Hub is deeply committed to Warminster and to helping our town become a place where people can experience, discover and develop exceptional music, arts, creativity and wellbeing opportunities.

Led by multi-award-winning youth and women’s inspiration leader Lydia Moore, The Wellbeing Hub is creating a space where experience, talent and opportunity can come together — from babies and toddlers discovering music for the first time, to established professional musicians sharing their skills with local people.

Our ambition is simple: to bring outstanding experiences to Warminster, create opportunities for local people, and help put Warminster on the map.

A stage for exceptional musicians

The Hub has already welcomed and worked with some incredible musicians and artists, creating opportunities for Warminster audiences to experience artists of an exceptional standard on their doorstep.

Artists and musicians including Dele Sosimi, Sura Susso, Kasai Masai and Linos Wengara have played at The Hub, sharing not only performances but their knowledge, experience and passion through workshops and creative sessions.

These are not simply performances. They are opportunities for children, young people, families and adults to meet professional artists, learn from them and be inspired by what is possible.

Who has played here

Musicians who tour nationally are now choosing to stop in Warminster and perform at The Wellbeing Hub. That is something we are incredibly proud of.

It means that people do not always have to travel to a major city to encounter exceptional artists and musicians. We can bring those experiences here.

More than music

Music is the loudest thing that happens here. It isn’t the only thing. In an ordinary week the same room holds a language lesson, a craft table, a seminar, a children’s session, a shared meal and a sound bath. All of it at 36 High Street.

Inspiring the next generation

One of the most exciting things happening at The Hub is the way inspiration spreads.

Children use the space to sing, practise drums and explore musical instruments. Families encounter music through baby groups, toddler groups and family days. Children and adults can take part in workshops led by musicians with years of professional experience.

The quality and experience of our workshop leaders matters.

When a child picks up a drum, sings into a microphone or watches an experienced musician perform, they are seeing something bigger than a single activity. They are being shown what creativity can become.

Our programme creates opportunities for people at every stage — from babies and toddlers experiencing music for the first time, through to adults developing new skills and local artists looking for a platform.

We want that journey to continue.

A platform for Warminster artists

The Hub is also a platform for local talent.

Local musicians and artists have the opportunity to perform on a stage that has been shared by nationally and internationally experienced artists. This creates a powerful message:

You don’t have to leave Warminster to be part of something ambitious.

By giving local artists somewhere to perform, develop and connect, we can help create a stronger creative community within the town.

The Hub becomes a meeting point between professional touring artists, local musicians, families, children and the wider community.

Connecting Warminster with the wider music world

Our work doesn’t stop at the doors of The Hub.

Lydia’s experience working with musicians and artists, including collaborations involving dancing, percussion and singing, has created strong connections across the music and festival world.

This includes involvement with major events and festivals such as WOMAD and Victorious, helping build relationships with talented musicians and creative practitioners.

Those connections can be brought back to Warminster.

Our belief is that these networks can help create something genuinely special: a town where nationally experienced musicians, local artists, children, families and audiences can all meet and create together.

Warminster can be connected to the wider music and arts world while remaining firmly at the heart of it.

Putting Warminster on the map

When people travel to Warminster specifically to attend an event, workshop or performance, they don’t only visit The Wellbeing Hub.

They may park locally, buy food, visit a café, use other local businesses or discover the town for the first time.

Bringing new audiences and touring artists into Warminster can therefore have a wider benefit for the town.

We want The Wellbeing Hub to contribute to a Warminster that is vibrant, welcoming and ambitious — a place where people know that something exciting is happening.

Great things can happen in Warminster. And we want more people to know about them.

Investing in our community

The Wellbeing Hub’s commitment to Warminster is also about partnership.

We are grateful for the support and encouragement we receive from organisations that recognise the importance of investing in local communities, including Wiltshire Council, where appropriate funding and support has helped us deliver our work.

We want to acknowledge those partnerships openly and proudly, while continuing to build strong relationships across Warminster.

Our aim is to work alongside local organisations, artists, businesses, families and community groups to create opportunities that benefit the town as a whole.

From the first musical experience to something bigger

The Hub’s nurturing nature is at the centre of everything we do.

  • A baby might encounter music here for the first time.
  • A toddler might discover rhythm.
  • A child might start learning drums.
  • A young person might find confidence through performing.
  • A local musician might step onto a stage for the first time.
  • An established touring artist might stop in Warminster and share their experience.
  • A family might discover a new part of the town.
  • A visitor might come for an event and discover everything else Warminster has to offer.

These moments connect.

And together, they can help build something much bigger.

Looking ahead

Our vision for Warminster

Our commitment is to keep building those connections, keep bringing exceptional people and experiences to the town, and keep creating opportunities for Warminster’s own talent to shine. Because Warminster isn’t simply where The Wellbeing Hub is based.

  • We want The Wellbeing Hub to be part of a Warminster that is known for creativity, community, opportunity and exceptional experiences.
  • We want children to grow up knowing that music and the arts belong here.
  • We want local artists to have opportunities to perform and develop.
  • We want touring musicians to see Warminster as somewhere worth stopping.
  • We want families to have access to high-quality experiences on their doorstep.
  • And we want visitors to come to Warminster because they have heard that something exciting is happening here.

Warminster is at the heart of what we are building.
