From Warminster to Zimbabwe: Echoes of Humanity

The Hub’s reach goes far beyond Warminster. Co-founder Dr Charity Chenga leads Echoes of Humanity, an initiative working alongside rural communities in Zimbabwe.
One of its projects, the Machitenda Women Economic Riders, helps women use solar-powered trikes to reach local markets and trade their goods — practical independence built around clean energy. The work is supported by GRRIPP, an international research programme on gender, resilience and inclusion funded through UK Research and Innovation.
It’s community development and research in practice, linking Dr Chenga’s home in England with her roots in Zimbabwe.
